A Gut-Healing, Hormone-Friendly Fall Drink: Cinnamon Honey Crisp Apple Cacao Latte

Cinnamon Honey Crisp AppleCacao Latte

A Gut-Healing, Hormone-Friendly Fall Drink

Who said fall drinks couldn’t be healthy?

After my fair share of hormonal issues, I used to skip out on cozy fall lattes, all those sugary syrups would wreck my gut and throw my hormones off balance.

So I created this Cinnamon Honey Apple Crisp Cacao Latte, a gut-healing and hormone-friendly alternative made with Se Luz Cacao Husk Tea.
It’s warm, grounding, and filled with ingredients that actually nourish your body from your gut to your hormones.

Why This Latte Supports Hormones + Gut Health

1. Cacao Husk Tea

Our Se Luz Cacao Husk Tea is the base of this latte, rich in antioxidants, flavonoids, and magnesium.
These nutrients work together to:

  • Support hormonal balance and mood regulation

  • Reduce inflammation and oxidative stress

  • Aid cardiovascular health and blood circulation

  • Promote gentle detoxification through the gut and liver

Unlike traditional cacao or coffee, cacao husk tea is naturally light and low in caffeine, making it the perfect daily practice for calm focus.

2. Baked Honeycrisp Apples

When baked, apples release a prebiotic fiber called pectin, which helps feed good gut bacteria and soothe digestion.
A healthy gut supports the natural metabolism of estrogen, which is key for maintaining hormone balance.

3. Cinnamon

This cozy spice helps stabilize blood sugar levels, preventing the insulin spikes that can lead to hormonal imbalance and fatigue.
It’s also warming and anti-inflammatory, perfect for supporting circulation and digestion during cooler months.

4. Dates

Naturally sweet and rich in fiber and minerals, dates satisfy cravings while supporting steady energy and digestive health.
They sweeten your latte without any refined sugar or additives.

5. Plant-Based Milk

Using a gentle, dairy-free milk keeps this latte hormone-friendly and easy to digest. Almond, oat, or coconut milk work beautifully for a creamy, balanced flavor.

The Recipe

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Se Luz Cacao Husk Tea (2 tsp of husks boiled in 1 cup of water)

  • ½ cup plant-based milk (almond, oat, or coconut)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 2–3 pitted dates (depending on desired sweetness)

  • ½ Honeycrisp apple, sliced

How to Make It

1. Bake the Apples
Preheat your oven or air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Slice your Honeycrisp apple and bake for 7–10 minutes, until soft and golden.

2. Brew the Cacao Husk Tea
Add 2 tsp of Se Luz Cacao Husk Tea to 1 cup of water (add a little extra to account for evaporation).
Boil for 5 minutes, then let it steep for another 5 minutes to deepen the flavor.

3. Make the Froth
In a small pot, warm ½ cup of plant-based milk with 2–3 pitted dates for about 5 minutes.
Let it cool slightly while you strain your tea.

4. Blend
Add the milk and dates to a blender with 1 tsp of cinnamon and your baked apples.
Blend until creamy, or use a hand blender.

5. Pour + Enjoy
Pour your blended apple-cinnamon milk over the cacao tea.
Top with extra cinnamon and a few baked apple slices.

Sip slowly, breathe deeply, and feel your body thank you. 💛
